It's for January birthdays too.
Three very good friends (friends of mine, they haven't all met each other yet) share a birthday. Good enough friends to be worth knitting for. These are Lucy's handwarmers knitted with Skein Queen silk/cashmere in Partridge Pear, for S. Technically, her birthday is first, in that her party is on Saturday. I will be seeing H on Tuesday and B hopefully on Friday. Because not only do they share a birthday, but it's on the 8th. No rest for the wicked.
If I can bear to knit four pairs on the trot, mine will be in Posh Yarn's cashmere/silk in Preen, using my new Lantern Moon rosewood needles. If handpainted yarns are Lucy's addiction, (not that we call it that, of course) it's very possible that Lantern Moon needles could become mine and I'm having to sit on my hands to avoid click-click-clicking on everything in Purlescence's winter sale.
Though I'm not affiliated with any of these retailers in any way, I've had excellent customer service from Debbie, Dee and Robynn in the past couple of weeks, for various reasons including me being stupid enough to lose a rosewood dpn, and I'd encourage you to support them. I'm all in favour of having more and more UK-based crafty retailers like these ladies!
I'm sure she and the others will love them, they are great and look really warm

Please can I bill you for the money I am now going to HAVE to spend on the linked-to yarns?!!! It's only right - you are responsible.... ;)

That's some pace with the knitting. Well done you! My mum's birthday was on the 5th, but I was so out of time that she had to 'make do' with jewellery ;)
