Typepad, I hate you.
I hate you beyond words.
You know what they say - it's called a break-up because it's broken. Well I think it might be time for a divorce. I've more or less given up blogging because every time I try to write a post, I lose an hour's time - like tonight when yet again it hung and then I had to refresh to get the page back to the compose interface. This has been happening every time I've tried to post for the last two months, more or less which is why I never update here any more. It's slow and clunky and editing is horrendous.
I am failing to see the point of paying for a service which is so far from reasonable expectations so I think it might be time to shut this blog down. Has anyone successfully transferred their posts out of typepad to another service? Or do I just start over?
ANY advice? Or virtual gin? Mwah mwah x

I don't know typepad, but I usually write the first draft of my posts in another editor editor, and copy it in when it is time to post.

I like wordpress so far, but I'm not terribly happy with my hosting service. I know there are options for importing other blogs into wordpress, but I don't know how successful they are.
If you leave us you just be sure to leave a forwarding address! And I'm sending you a virtual Raspberry Lemondrop Martini -- Yum oh Yummy Yum!

You're not alone...I've been having a mare too - first with photos taking forever to get right now its just SLOW! Very annoying for something thats *supposedly* an improvement.

I usually have the same problem. Sometimes I am typing in the editor and it takes about 15 seconds for the text to even appear on the screen. Quite a few times I've clicked 'preview' or whatever and instead of letting me preview the post, it either closes explorer down or deletes everything. It's really frustrating and I really can't think of anything else that makes me crosser! At least I've figured out how to do a link now! That took some time.
Strangely enough I happened to mention in my blog that I had a problem and then someone from typepad posted a comment!
