I don't like swearing

**&@!$%

Ok, to be honest, my language can be like a sailor's sometimes. Like I noticed last night when I was knitting that I was using more than my fair share of expletives, and this was before I noticed the mistakes I was making with the sock.  And can I just say - I think I am falling in love with crochet.  Keep watching this space.

Today I was swearing in the county court - swearing the affadavit to accompany my divorce petition. It's the first time I've ever done anything like that, it was strangely emotional and everything is such a learning curve. Afterwards I felt like swearing a lot at 'unnamed woman'. Instead I shed a couple of tears as I walked down the side of the courthouse, said thanks for my huge sunglasses that hide watery eyes, and got on with it.  It's just one more step in the process.  Soon I hope to be looking for a little place to live, just me and the cats, and, as my brother says, 'all your crafty shit'.

I - CAN'T - WAIT.

thank god for shades and a sunny day so they don't look out of place. You sound bravely philosophical but it probably doesn't feel that way to you - here's a big virtual hug for you in place of a real one.

I think falling in love with crochet sounds a much safer bet than guys - can't wait to see what you are up to.

Sometimes swearing is the best thing to do. I'm sure you and "all your crafty shit" will be much better off! I can't wait to see what you're up to crochet-wise either!

You have to have an outlet. And swearing when you're upset is preferred to throwing something at someone (at least it's more socially acceptable).

And nothing brings out my sailor mouth the way crafting does!

I find yelling expletives at the top of my voice whilst driving alone down the motorway with the windows shut to be thoroughly cathartic!

Thinking of you and your steps towards a new crafty-shit-bolt hole. Hugs.

Here's to new beginnings *raises a glass in your general direction*

New beginnings indeed. Thinking of you today -- you're at the threshhold of your new life! Onward and Upward!!!

Sounds like a tough day - good it's behind you though. For the record crafting and swearing definitely go hand in hand - it's a good job my bunnies can't talk or there'd be some little children out there learning some rather naughty new words! Keep your face towards the future and better days xxx

I SOOO wish I could come house-hunting with you. I LOVE finding new places to live (good thing, too - we move about every 2 yrs). And I really want to see the new crochet. Show us, show us, show us!

My mum used to say that girls with nice manners don't swear...and I usually don't swear much (then there's the occasional manic cretin behind the wheel in front), but most times it feels so good to just let rip.....okay, time to show us the crochet!

Crochet a suit of armour, knit a welcome mat to your new pad, baste the foundations for a new beginning X

Swearing seems pretty appropriate for what must have been a tough day. Hope the crochet is proving theraputic too - looking forward to the results x

Well done you for being soooo grown up (and for being so fantastically organised to have the sunglasses on.) Good luck with the next bit.

Have just found your blog and thoroughly enjoyed it, I will be back! Sounds like you had a tough day though, chin up, it's one more step to your new life.

I don't know where it came from, but somewhere I came across this line and I wrote it on my desk blotter:

"She listens to her heart above all other voices."

Thinking of you--

I once had my heart broken, really broken, but now I'm glad, because if that fella hadn't dumped me, I'd never have met my husband, or had my 2 beautiful children. Sometimes what seems sxxt at the time, can eventually be the first step towards something else great. In the meantime, swear like a trooper, it helps! x
